GENERAL PURPOSE
The Director is responsible for the everyday operations of the school, as well as providing leadership and overall direction to faculty and administrative employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the overall performance of the campus
- Work with all staff members to develop and implement short term and longer term plans consistent with the missions, visions and values of the company.
- Provide sound education, business, managerial, and financial guidance to subordinates in the conduct of their duties as well as facilitate effective communication on a daily basis.
- Ensures effective administration and management of the campus through the application of management principles within established guidelines
- Establishes and maintains an effective organizational structure to accomplish the school’s objectives; establishes practices to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession
- Develops and implements adequate measures to meet the fiscal needs of the school to conserve its assets and to maintain an effective system of budgeting control.
- Works within compliance to ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations; amends existing policies and procedures as needed.
- Ensures staff is hired with the appropriate credentials, knowledge, skill, and experience to meet the needs of the school.
- Ensures quality of instruction through regular evaluations, audits and performance assessments.
- Ensures that the school’s curriculum is relevant to local and national needs, recommends changes to academic management and develops an academic structure for the school.
- Supplements and enhances management through training and development programs.
- Oversees a job placement system which enables the employment process for the school’s graduated students, maintain records and statistics.
- Procurement of supplies, equipment, and products
- Training of new personnel
- Immediate supervisor to receptionists, admissions staff, and instructors.
- Plan and coordinate events
- Perform annual faculty evaluations
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- Updating all employees on changes in policies and procedures
- Dealing with student and employee grievances
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding business acumen
- Working knowledge of appropriate regulatory agencies
- The ability to manage many tasks at once
- The ability to effectively manage people
- Knowledgeable in personnel administration with an understanding of wage and salary administration performance evaluation, succession planning and training.
