Advance Beauty College is searching for energetic, experienced and highly motivated cosmetology instructors for our two campuses located in Garden Grove and Laguna Hills. Interested parties should email their resume and cover letter to linda@advancebeautycollege.com.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach the school mandated curriculum.
- Prepare, present, and supplement as needed all lesson plans for assigned classes according to the school’s curriculum.
- Provide assistance for the planning, development and maintenance of program curriculum.
- Maintain classroom structure and discipline.
- Maintain accurate and current academic
- Have a working knowledge of the school’s SAP policy, school rules, grading policies and criteria, practical requirements, and state regulations.
- Enforce rules and regulations of the school, BPPE, BBC, and other agencies.
- Maintain a thorough, accurate and current knowledge of the subject matter taught.
- Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth.
- Attend scheduled program meetings, school in-service workshops and college-wide faculty meetings.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the school’s mission and vision.
- Act as a liaison between administration and students
- Adhere to and publicly support the schools policies and procedures, included but not limited to the faculty handbook and course catalog.
- Attend school functions when possible.
- Maintain up to date product knowledge.
- Maintain communication throughout department and management.

SKILLS/ABILITIES
Documented expertise in academic subject area, classroom management, and expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by data sheet, diplomas, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and in person interview.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of combined education and industry experience.
Prior post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
